Hello, all! It's been so long since I've been here...my life took over and I barely had time to check my emails, let lone update my blog. That's all changed now, though. I got a huge message a few weeks back...."SLOW DOWN!!" is what I heard, lol. So now I have no choice but to slow down...and more time to update my blog and catch up with my online buddies. Nice to see you all again!
My cleaning business took off this spring and my life got very busy, but we were finally doing good as far as financially. Since my husband is in college, I was very happy to be able to work more so he could take more time to concentrate on his studies. I started out with just a few homes and it grew from there thanks to referrals, then I started getting interior painting jobs, putting up border, wallpaper, etc....I thought I was on the right track until that "SLOW DOWN!!" message. I woke up a few weeks ago having problems moving my shoulder....after a few days I couldn't figure out if it was my shoulder or my neck, so I made an appointment with Doc to figure it out. After an MRI and x-rays, I got my answer....3 bulging discs in my c-spine and many, many bone spurs. I have an appointment in early November with a neurologist to see what they suggest....I'm hoping that physical therapy will solve my problem, but will just have to accept whatever answer I get (really hoping this doesn't involve surgery). My Dad had this problem and his started in his early 30's, my older sister as well in her early 30's....they both had surgery, then another surgery a few years later, and on and on it goes....did you know that this type of problem can be hereditary? I am just learning this, I thought my Dad was full of it when he told me, so I asked the doctor and did my own research on the internet....and sure enough it is. (Sorry, Dad!) Seems that once you have that first surgery, more is needed within a few years and it becomes needed more as the years pass.
So here I sit waiting for my answers, praying for the best, but knowing that I will have to accept the answers I get. Ignoring this will not make it go away, although I wish it did....I'm used to being on the move and not slowing down. I've always been a bit hyper, so this is very different for me. On a good note, I get to visit with my family more often....which includes Breydon, my wonderful grandson, who brings me great joy!
So how are you doing? If you're reading this, please leave me a comment and let me know how life is treating you. Hopefully we can "see" each other more often now.
Have a Beautiful Night!
